Biografie: 

Ron Glass, plným jménem Ronald E. Glass, vystudoval Saint Francis Seminary v roce 1964. Díky své veselé společenské povaze - která mu vydržela do současnosti - měl ve škole spoustu přátel, mezi nimiž byl známý jako "Big G". Po dokončení studií pracoval zpočátku jako divadelní herec v minneapoliském Guthrie Theatre. V televizních seriálech se začal objevovat již na počátku 70. let minulého století ("Sanford and Son", "Good Times"). Největší věhlas mu ovšem přinesla role detektiva Rona Harrise v seriálu "Barney Miller", kterého hrál od roku 1975 téměř až do roku 1982, kdy seriál skončil. Glass je členem hereckého sdružení Alpha Psi Omega Fraternity Inc. Vyznáním je buddhista a věřícího člověka - pastora Booka - hraje i v seriálu Firefly.
